About The Position

As a Virtual Patient Safety Attendant at Grand Strand Medical Center, you will help protect patients who are at risk for falls, injury, or self-harm. From a remote station, you will continuously monitor patients’ physical and emotional well-being and communicate concerns to the care team in real time so that appropriate interventions can be made. You will document patient activity and changes accurately, protect confidential information, and work with the healthcare team to support compassionate, respectful care.

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Continuously watch patients to support their safety and well-being.
• Identify risks such as falls or self-harm and promptly alert the care team.
• Document patient activity and changes accurately and clearly throughout the shift.
• Safeguard confidential information and honor patient privacy.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to foster compassion, respect, and teamwork.
