About The Position

MD Now, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Patient Representative to support patient care at its urgent care clinics. Clinic hours are Monday through Sunday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; employees must be flexible to work during those hours and may need to travel to other area clinics for scheduling purposes. The role supports patient check-in, insurance verification, clinic communications, occupational health procedures, documentation, and payment reconciliation. MD Now is a physician-led urgent care provider offering urgent care and occupational health services. The organization is owned and operated by HCA Healthcare and is affiliated with HCA Florida Healthcare.

Requirements

Strong customer service skills.
Ability to work with multiple computer programs.
Willingness to travel to other clinics in the area for scheduling purposes.
Obtain BLS certification within 30 days of starting.

Nice To Haves

One year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Check in patients in a timely manner.
Follow all Web Check-in procedures.
Answer clinic phone calls, provide information, or refer questions as needed.
Verify insurance in a timely and accurate manner.
Follow occupational clients’ preference cards and occupational procedures.
Review patient paperwork for completeness and ensure collection of required insurance and demographic information.
Complete the Daily Balance Checklist after each shift, accounting for and documenting all forms of payment.
