About The Position

The Patient Registration Specialist facilitates new patients’ transition to Option Care Health services, aiming to provide a consistent onboarding experience for patients and referral partners. Working with Sales, the Specialist prepares patients for services and coordinates their transition to home or alternate-site infusion services. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The role has no supervisory responsibilities and may include other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of related experience.
Ability to multitask and manage numerous referrals and priorities at once.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality.
Strong customer service skills.
Ability to troubleshoot, solve problems, and collaborate with cross-functional Sales and Operations team members.

Nice To Haves

Previous healthcare or medical billing experience.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with patients, referral sources, Sales, pharmacy, and nursing to arrange discharge and secure nursing and delivery.
Create, communicate, and obtain required documentation for new referrals.
Secure patients’ upfront payments and help them identify payment options, including directing them to financial assistance programs when appropriate.
Support activities that help ensure clean claims, including following up on missing paperwork related to holds and denials.
Assist the Patient Registration Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
