About The Position

The Specialist, Patient Registration facilitates new patients’ transition to Option Care Health services, aiming to provide a consistent onboarding experience for patients and referral partners. Working in conjunction with Sales, the Specialist prepares patients for services and coordinates the aspects of their transition to home or alternate site infusion services.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of related experience.
Ability to multitask and support multiple referrals and priorities at one time.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on quality.
Strong customer service skills.
Ability to troubleshoot, solve problems, and collaborate with cross-functional team members across Sales and Operations.

Nice To Haves

Previous healthcare or medical billing experience.

Responsibilities

Coordinate discharge and secure nursing and delivery by engaging with patients, referral sources, Sales, pharmacy, and nursing.
Create, communicate, and obtain all required documentation for new referrals.
Secure patients’ upfront payments, including helping patients identify payment options and directing them to financial assistance programs when appropriate.
Support activities needed to ensure clean claims, including following up on missing paperwork and supporting hold and denial management.
Assist the Patient Registration Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
