About The Position

WakeMed is hiring a bilingual Patient Registration Representative to welcome patients and families and help create a positive patient experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The role supports patient registration, scheduling, communication, and the accurate collection of patient information. The representative provides basic interpretation support in English and Spanish and helps patients navigate check-in and checkout processes.

Requirements

• Fluent in written and spoken English and Spanish.
• Comfortable interacting with patients, families, healthcare professionals, and community members.
• Able to stay organized and maintain accuracy while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Skilled in customer service, communication, and problem-solving.
• Committed to creating a welcoming and positive experience for every patient.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

• One year of customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and families, check them in for appointments, and provide outstanding customer service.
• Accurately enter demographic, insurance, and other required information when registering patients.
• Collect copays and point-of-service payments and assist with checkout processes.
• Schedule and coordinate follow-up appointments, procedures, and services as needed.
• Provide basic interpretation support and assist with communication in English and Spanish.
