The Patient Registration Rep is the first point of contact for patients, providing a welcoming and efficient experience. The role handles patient registration, insurance verification, and cash collections while advocating for patient needs and helping ensure smooth access to healthcare services. The position is located at Brownstown Emergency and is listed as day shift and full time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards, and behaviors.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience related to patient admitting, registration, and/or insurance eligibility and verification in a hospital or medical office setting.
• EPIC training or experience.
• ICD-10 medical terminology experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow standard operating procedures for patient registration, including face-to-face check-in and preregistration.
• Confirm insurance eligibility and handle cash collections.
• Update patient registration and insurance information.
• Respond to inquiries from callers and customers, advocating on their behalf.
• Provide efficient and effective customer relationship management, instilling loyalty and anticipating needs.
