About The Position

Health Advocate is hiring Temporary Patient Navigators for a remote, high-volume, phone-based patient support role. Patient Navigators help patients understand healthcare next steps, overcome barriers to care, and feel supported through sensitive conversations. The work includes frequent proactive outbound calls, including to patients who may be anxious, hesitant, confused, or unaware of the call. Navigators explain processes such as next steps after a positive test result, which may include completing a colonoscopy, and help patients move forward with their care. The role involves coordinating appointments and care, identifying barriers, supporting transportation and medical-record coordination, and connecting patients to appropriate clinical resources when questions exceed the Navigator's scope. Navigators manage multiple cases and follow-ups, document interactions accurately, maintain confidentiality, and comply with HIPAA and applicable policies. The position is temporary and remote, with flexible shift options discussed during interviews according to business needs. Once a schedule is agreed upon, dependable attendance and availability during those hours are essential. The work requires a private, distraction-free workspace and full attention throughout scheduled hours. Compensation is $18.00 per hour.
