About The Position
As a Patient Monitor, you help ensure the safety and well-being of assigned patients through continuous observation and surveillance. You support clinical staff by monitoring patients via video and communicating with them using a two-way audio device. You identify and report changes in patient condition or safety risks, contributing to patient care and comfort. The role is part of the Behavioral Health focus at One Ford Place, Henry Ford Health’s corporate headquarters in Detroit.
Requirements
- High school diploma equivalency or one year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients using video monitors to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Communicate with patients and provide instructions via a two-way audio device.
- Notify clinical staff of changes in patient condition or safety risk levels.
- Document observations of patient activities, behaviors, and other safety- and comfort-related issues.
