About The Position

The Patient Placement Center Specialist supports care for Providence St Joseph Health (PSJH) patients by coordinating the patient intake process. The Patient Liaison answers and triages calls, verifies eligibility, facilitates inbound and outbound transfers, and ensures accurate documentation. The role works with internal and external partners to coordinate timely patient transfers and help resolve complex, high-priority cases. It supports Transfer Center operations, including the Southern, Northern, and Behavioral Health California Transfer Centers. Providence's centralized Transfer Center coordinates patient transfers across the organization's regional, divisional, and system healthcare network.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent education/experience.
• 1–3 years of healthcare-related experience.
• 1 year of customer service experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field.
• 1 year of call center experience.
