About The Position
The Patient Intake Specialist I greets, registers, collects payments from, and directs or escorts patients in compliance with applicable state and federal regulations and hospital policies and procedures. The role serves as an ambassador of Deaconess by cultivating an atmosphere of courtesy, respect, empathy, dignity, and optimism.
Requirements
- Completion of high school or GED is required.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of the health care revenue cycle is preferred.
- Understanding insurance is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Greet and register patients.
- Collect payments from patients.
- Direct or escort patients.
