Requirements

2+ years of experience in a medical receptionist or healthcare front-desk role
Strong customer service skills with a compassionate, patient-first mindset
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
Solid understanding of HIPAA and confidentiality standards
High school diploma (required)

Nice To Haves

Experience with prior authorizations
Familiarity with medical office operations
General administrative and clerical experience
Interest in building a long-term career in healthcare

Responsibilities

Welcome patients, visitors, and vendors with warmth and professionalism
Assist with patient check-in and verify basic appointment details
Provide clear directions and help patients navigate the facility
Manage high foot traffic and incoming inquiries with efficiency and composure
Enter and update information in EMR and other systems with accuracy
Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless patient flow
Maintain strict patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliant)
Keep the front desk and waiting areas organized, safe, and presentable
Support general administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and answering questions
