About The Position

The Patient Greeter is responsible for providing front-desk support within a busy medical pavilion. This individual serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors entering the facility and plays a key role in creating a welcoming, organized, and efficient entry experience. The role focuses on check-in support, wayfinding, and basic administrative assistance to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the building.

Requirements

  • Experience with healthcare and EMR systems.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage front desk operations and clerical tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Medical Receptionist.
  • High School Diploma required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients, visitors, and vendors in a professional, courteous, and welcoming manner.
  • Check patients into the building and verify basic registration or appointment information as needed.
  • Provide directions and general information to assist patients in locating departments, offices, or services within the medical pavilion.
  • Manage high-volume foot traffic and phone inquiries while maintaining excellent customer service.
  • Enter and update visitor or patient information accurately in electronic systems, as required.
  • Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to support smooth patient flow throughout the facility.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and facility policies and procedures.
  • Monitor front desk and waiting areas to ensure a safe, organized, and clean environment.
  • Support general front-desk and administrative tasks as assigned.
