About The Position

We’re seeking compassionate and outgoing volunteers to serve as Patient Greeters: the first friendly faces our patients see when they walk through the door. Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Completion of HealthPoint’s volunteer application and screening process
  • Proof of the following immunizations: Varicella, MMR, Tdap, TB Screening
  • A positive, friendly and respectful attitude
  • Interest in healthcare, community service, or patient interaction
  • Comfort using tablets, smartphones, or basic tech tools
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stay calm and helpful in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Comfort interacting with diverse populations

Nice To Haves

  • College students and adults who want to gain real-world experience, give back to their community and make a meaningful impact in a healthcare setting
  • Pre-med, pre-nursing, public health and other health-related students
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish) are a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors with a warm, welcoming attitude
  • Help direct individuals to check-in stations, waiting areas, or service points
  • Assist patients with forms or digital check-in tools (iPads, kiosks, etc.) as directed by Front Desk Staff
  • Provide general directions and answer non-medical questions
  • Monitor waiting areas to ensure comfort, cleanliness and safety
  • Alert staff if a patient may need immediate assistance
  • Support clinic staff with light, non-clinical tasks to improve patient experience
