About The Position

The Patient Family Representative greets patients, families, and visitors arriving at the hospital and serves as an information provider. The role coordinates communications between hospital staff, patients, and their families and works closely with volunteers to help ensure visitors’ needs are met. The position is based in Admitting at the Yale Campus in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It is ECB status, requiring a minimum number of worked hours per month as needed by the department, with limited benefit offerings. The schedule is variable, with listed hours of 6:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. or 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of related experience.
• Advanced computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Windows.
• Proficiency with Outlook.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, families, and visitors arriving at the hospital.
• Work closely with volunteers to ensure patients’, families’, and visitors’ needs are met.
• Direct volunteers escorting patients, families, and visitors throughout the hospital.
• Provide information to patients, families, and visitors.
• Coordinate communications between hospital staff, patients, and their families.
