About The Position
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) works on the Cardiac Renal Unit (CRU), providing hands-on care and support to patients in collaboration with nurses and other healthcare professionals. The unit serves medical-surgical, cardiac, and renal patients and includes a dialysis suite. The role offers paid training, on-the-job learning, and opportunities to develop clinical skills and pursue professional growth.
Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification within six months of hire.
- Compassionate and dependable; enjoys helping others and working collaboratively.
- Eager to learn and committed to providing excellent patient care.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily personal care, including bathing, oral hygiene, toileting, and linen changes.
- Support patient mobility, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation.
- Monitor and document vital signs and patient observations.
- Record relevant information in patient charts.
- Provide compassionate care and emotional support to patients and families.
