About The Position

Highpoint Health-Sumner is hiring a Patient Care Technician for its Respiratory Med-Surg unit. The role supports direct patient care and the hospital’s mission to make communities healthier. Highpoint Health-Sumner is a 167-bed healthcare facility serving Middle Tennessee and is part of Lifepoint Health.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required, with an exception noted for candidates with a State of Tennessee CNA license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• State of Tennessee CNA license preferred.
• One year of certified nurse technician or EMT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Provide or assist with providing direct patient care.
• Observe and record patient behavior and activities.
• Report changes in patients’ physical, mental, or emotional condition to nursing staff and suggest modifications to treatment plans.
• Assist with point-of-care testing and EKGs as needed.
