About The Position
Oneida Health is seeking a per diem Nursing Patient Care Technician for the night shift in its Hospital ICU Department. The position supports the ICU Nursing Team and provides direct patient care in collaboration with registered nurses. The technician performs tasks that do not require nursing judgment or medication administration and works both independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- BLS/CPR certification (preferred).
- One year of Nursing Assistant experience (preferred).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
- Observe patients, gather data, and document information carefully and accurately.
- Perform basic patient care under the direction of the Charge Nurse.
- Communicate effectively and route messages to the appropriate person.
- Help maintain a safe and healthy patient environment in accordance with hospital quality standards.
- Assist patients and families with their needs using a customer-service approach.
- Perform ward clerk and other clerical tasks as needed.
- Maintain equipment and perform routine cleaning tasks.
- Assist the RN with patient education needs.
