Patient Care Technician- 6 Med/Surg- 0.9 FTE
About The Position
As a Patient Care Technician at Franciscan Health, you perform delegated patient care activities and spend significant time with patients. You help build trust, provide comfort, and support recovery through compassionate, person-centered care. You work alongside nurses and other healthcare professionals throughout the hospital and gain exposure to varied patient populations and care environments. This role is with the 6 Med/Surg unit at Franciscan Health Crown Point. Full-time opportunities are available at 36 hours per week, on day or night shifts. The minimum starting pay is $18.02 per hour. Travel is never or rarely required.
Requirements
- Hold an active Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) license through the State of Indiana, or have prior Patient Care Technician experience in an acute care health care organization, or be a nursing student who has completed the first semester of clinicals, or have completed the Franciscan PCT Training Program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association. Franciscan will provide BLS training and recertification as needed.
