About The Position
As a Patient Care Technician at Franciscan Health, you perform delegated patient care activities and spend significant time with patients. You help build trust, provide comfort, and support recovery through compassionate, person-centered care. You work alongside nurses and other healthcare professionals throughout the hospital, with exposure to a variety of patient populations and care environments. The position is in geriatrics at the Franciscan Health Indianapolis Campus. Travel is never or rarely required.
Requirements
- Have an active Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) license through the State of Indiana, or prior Patient Care Technician experience in an acute care health care organization, or be a nursing student who has completed the first semester of clinicals, or have completed the Franciscan PCT Training Program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association. Franciscan will provide BLS training and recertification as needed.
