About The Position
Middlesex Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the North 6 Med/Surg department. Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in a patient care environment, such as experience as a CNA, EMT, Medical Assistant, Nursing Student, or Pre-Physician Assistant student.
- Accountability, multitasking, organization, and good communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Hospital experience.
- Certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT).
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including basic hygiene, toileting, and nutrition.
- Collect and document patient data, including vital signs and blood glucose monitoring.
- Perform direct patient observation.
- Reinforce patient education.
- Contribute to a positive environment for patients, families, and staff.
