About The Position

The Patient Care Technician provides support to patients on the Med Surg department at Seton Edgar B Davis Hospital in Luling, Texas. The role involves helping patients move and maintain safe, comfortable positions; assisting with activities of daily living and personal hygiene; monitoring and reporting changes in patients’ physical, mental, or emotional well-being; documenting clinical information; and maintaining a clean, organized, hygienic environment and safe medical equipment. This is a full-time day-shift role scheduled for three 12-hour shifts per week.

Requirements

• Obtain BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification is accepted.
• High school diploma equivalency or one year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
• Required professional licensure or certification may be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

• CNA certification with clinical experience is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate safe patient transfers, movement, and positioning to maximize comfort and support physical rehabilitation goals.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and personal hygiene needs.
• Monitor patient well-being and promptly report physical, mental, or emotional changes to nursing staff.
• Maintain precise clinical records.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic environment.
• Manage medical equipment to ensure optimal safety compliance.
