About The Position

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is part of a collaborative nursing team and supports Registered Nurses in providing hands-on patient care. The role helps create a safe and welcoming environment and assists patients with daily needs, including vital signs, mobility, and personal care. PCTs help RNs monitor patient conditions and carry out care plans, using attention, empathy, and teamwork to promote comfort and dignity.

Requirements

Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked.
Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
Communicate with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
