About The Position

Join the Orthopedic Unit at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, as a full-time, day-shift Patient Care Technician. The role works under moderate supervision from nursing and medical staff to assist patients with daily activities and support their care. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and before providing direct patient care.

Nice To Haves

Two years of experience in acute or long-term care.
Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy.
Completion of an approved CNA, PCT, or paramedic certification, or current enrollment in nursing school.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, eating, and other activities of daily living.
Observe patients’ progress and prepare and share reports with a Registered Nurse or other medical staff.
Obtain and record patients’ vital signs.
Collect specimens for laboratory tests.
Provide basic patient transportation and housekeeping duties.
Measure and record patients’ intake and output and other measurements according to unit routines.
Assist patients with range-of-motion activities.
