About The Position

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. The role is limited to activities permitted for the position and does not include administering medications or therapy or assuming independent responsibility for patient care. Duties must be performed in accordance with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements

Current BLS certification is required.
High school graduation or equivalent is preferred.
Two to three years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform patient care activities within the limits of the position.
Provide accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse.
