About The Position
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. The role performs patient care activities within the limits of the position, does not administer medications or therapy, and does not assume independent responsibility for patient care. Duties are carried out in accordance with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Requirements
- Current BLS certification is required.
Nice To Haves
- High school graduation or equivalent is preferred.
- Two to three years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse.
- Perform patient care activities within the limits of the position and in accordance with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Do not administer medications or therapy, or assume independent responsibility for patient care.
