About The Position
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. The position carries out patient care activities within its scope and does not administer medications or therapy or assume independent responsibility for patient care. Duties are performed in accordance with PAM Health’s policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Requirements
- Current BLS certification is required.
Nice To Haves
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Two to three years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse.
- Perform duties within the limits of the position and in accordance with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.
