About The Position

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. The PCT performs care activities within the limits of the position, does not administer medications or therapy, and does not assume independent responsibility for patient care. Job duties are carried out in a manner consistent with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements

• Current BLS certification is required.

Nice To Haves

• High school graduation or equivalent is preferred.
• Two to three years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care activities within the limits of the position.
• Provide accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse.
• Follow PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.
