About The Position

The Patient Care Technician I supports front- and back-office operations in a gastroenterology practice in Summit, helping maintain efficient patient flow. The role assists with check-in and check-out as needed, coordinates appointments, procedures, and follow-up visits, and supports telephone triage by routing messages appropriately. It also includes maintaining accurate electronic medical records, scanning and organizing patient documents, and performing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Support front- and back-office operations to maintain efficient patient flow.
Assist with patient check-in or check-out when needed.
Help coordinate patient appointments, procedures, and follow-up visits.
Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
Support telephone triage workflows by routing messages appropriately.
Assist with scanning, uploading, and organizing patient documents.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
