About The Position
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is a vital member of the collaborative nursing team at Methodist Hospital Stone Oak Rehabilitation Center. The PCT supports Registered Nurses by providing hands-on, non-medicated patient care and helping maintain a safe, welcoming environment. The role includes assisting with vital signs, mobility, personal care, patient comfort, and care plans, while helping restore comfort and dignity for patients receiving inpatient rehabilitation services.
Requirements
- Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment start date.

- At least 1 year of experience in an acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
- Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
- Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked.
- Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
- Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
- Support Registered Nurses in monitoring patient conditions and carrying out care plans.
