About The Position

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) supports Registered Nurses as part of a collaborative nursing team at Methodist Hospital Stone Oak Rehabilitation Center. The role provides hands-on, non-medicated patient care and helps maintain a safe, welcoming environment. The technician assists with patients’ daily needs, helps RNs monitor conditions and carry out care plans, and contributes to patient comfort, dignity, and recovery. The facility provides inpatient rehabilitation services using a patient-centered approach.

Requirements

• Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
• Support Registered Nurses in providing hands-on care, monitoring patient conditions, and carrying out care plans.
