About The Position

Under the supervision of a Nurse Leader, the Patient Care Tech performs specific duties that support patient care, including direct and indirect care activities essential to a safe and efficient care environment. The position carries out selected interventions and activities that contribute to comprehensive patient care in accordance with regulatory and hospital standards, policies, and procedures. The role also works with the care team to support a positive patient experience. The position operates in a high-activity environment with multiple priorities and requires flexibility in scheduling. Additional responsibilities and career advancement opportunities are available through a clinical ladder based on experience, skillsets, and certifications held.

Requirements

No experience required; training is provided on-site.
Successful completion of PCT-specific HHC orientation.
Obtain an American Heart Association (AHA) Certified BLS Provider credential within two months (60 days) of hire or job transfer.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
Some relevant experience in an acute care hospital environment.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Certified BLS Provider credential.
Certification as a CNA, CPCT/A, EMT, or CMA for eligibility for advancement in the PCT clinical ladder.
