About The Position

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at HCA Florida JFK Hospital, you will support Registered Nurses in providing hands-on patient care and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment. You will help with patients’ daily needs, including vital signs, mobility, and personal care, and assist RNs with monitoring conditions and carrying out care plans. The role calls for attention, empathy, and teamwork to help preserve patients’ comfort and dignity.

The hospital is a 558-bed acute care facility with services that include emergency care, cardiovascular care, neurosciences, robotic surgery, orthopedics and spine care, bariatrics, behavioral health, and obstetrics. It is located in Atlantis, Florida, and is part of HCA Florida JFK Hospital’s four Palm Beach County locations.

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• No experience required.
• No travel required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
• Support Registered Nurses with hands-on care, monitoring patient conditions, and carrying out care plans.
