About The Position

Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) deliver competent and skilled care to patients and families under the supervision and delegation of an RN or LVN. They provide care through a team-oriented approach, with an emphasis on good customer relations. The schedule varies by day, with hours from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet one of the following qualifications: completion of a certified Nurse Assistant program or hold an active CNA; completion of a Medical Assistant program; completion of the first clinical semester in an accredited nursing program and continued enrollment in that program; completion and current certification of an Emergency Medical Technician program; or completion of a Patient Care Technician training program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver competent and skilled care to patients and families as supervised and delegated by the RN or LVN.
• Provide care with a team-oriented approach and an emphasis on good customer relations.
