About The Position

Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) deliver competent and skilled care to patients and families under the supervision and delegation of an RN or LVN. PCTs provide care with a team-oriented approach and an emphasis on good customer relations. This position is in the PICU at Medical Center-Prosper and has a first shift schedule with 36 standard weekly hours.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet one of the following: completion of a certified Nurse Assistant program or current CNA status; completion of a Medical Assistant program; completion of the first clinical semester in an accredited nursing program with continued enrollment in the nursing program; completion and current certification of an Emergency Medical Technician program; or completion of a Patient Care Technician training program.
• Current BLS certification.
• Maintain primary residence within Texas throughout employment.
• Maintain all licenses and credentials required for the position throughout employment.
