About The Position

The Patient Care Tech (PCT) provides patient-centered care under the supervision of licensed clinical staff. The role supports patients from birth through the lifecycle and requires competency with treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate to the clinical setting, hospital policy, and prescribed standards. The PCT works collaboratively with licensed nursing staff to provide direct care to a diverse patient population, promote healing and wellness, and assist with activities of daily living such as bathing and feeding. The position is part-time, day shift, in the ICU at Piedmont Fayette Hospital.

Requirements

• Previous experience caring for patients in a hospital setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician certification preferred.
