About The Position

The Patient Care Tech (PCT) provides patient care under the supervision of licensed clinical staff, caring for patients from birth through the lifecycle. The role requires competency in treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate to the clinical setting, hospital policy, and prescribed standards. The position is in the ICU at Piedmont Fayette Hospital and is full-time, working nights from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is available.

The PCT works collaboratively with licensed nursing staff to provide direct, holistic, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population. Key care activities include assisting patients with bathing, feeding, and other activities of daily living. The role is described as fast-paced and focused on promoting healing and supporting wellness.

Requirements

• Previous experience caring for patients in a hospital setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician certification preferred.
