About The Position

The Patient Care Tech (PCT) provides patient-centered care under the supervision of licensed clinical staff. The role serves patients from birth through all stages of life and requires competency with treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate to the clinical setting, hospital policy, and prescribed standards. The position is based in the ICU at Piedmont Fayette Hospital and is full-time, working nights from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; certification must be from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
• Previous experience caring for patients in a hospital setting.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced environment to promote healing and support wellness.
• Collaborate with licensed nursing staff to provide direct care to a diverse patient population.
• Help patients with bathing, feeding, and other activities of daily living.
• Provide care to patients from birth through the lifecycle under the supervision of licensed clinical staff.
• Demonstrate competency with treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate to the clinical setting and hospital policy.
