About The Position

The Patient Care Technician works under the supervision of a licensed nurse to help deliver patient care and meet family needs. The role follows the care plan while considering each patient's age and developmental stage. This is a full-time night position in the Cardiac Recovery unit at Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center, scheduled for three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Less than one year of experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or obtain BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• Communicate clearly with patients and staff, verbally and in writing.
• Work effectively with other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Collect and record patient data and vital signs, and assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Answer call lights and complete patient rounds.
• Help complete and maintain files and forms for admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Provide personal hygiene care and assist with patient clean-up.
• Follow Baylor Scott & White policies and procedures.
• Work with nurses and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
