About The Position

The Patient Care Tech (PCT) provides patient care under the supervision of licensed clinical staff. The role supports patients from birth through the lifecycle and requires competency with treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate to the clinical setting and hospital policy. The PCT contributes to holistic, patient-centered care in a fast-paced ICU environment, working collaboratively with licensed nursing staff to support healing and wellness. The position is part-time, day shift, at Piedmont Fayette Hospital.

Requirements

• Previous experience caring for patients in a hospital setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced environment to promote healing and support wellness.
• Collaborate with licensed nursing staff to provide direct care to a diverse patient population.
• Assist patients with bathing, feeding, and other necessary activities of daily living.
• Provide care to patients from birth through the lifecycle under the supervision of licensed clinical staff.
