About The Position

Visiting Angels’ Paris office is hiring Patient Care Assistants to provide compassionate in-home care to senior adults and others in need in Paris and surrounding communities, including Greenville and Texarkana. The role offers a chance to support clients and their families through companionship and assistance with daily activities, including light housekeeping, meal preparation, personal care, mobility assistance, and transportation. The position also offers advanced training opportunities in areas such as dementia care and Alzheimer’s care. Full-time, part-time, and PRN shifts are offered.

Requirements

Passion for serving others and a true caregiver disposition.
Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Respectful and compassionate approach.
Good time-management skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong ethics.
Physical endurance.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Help clients take prescribed medication.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside the home, including attending doctor’s appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients with routine exercises.
Plan and prepare meals with assistance from clients when they are able.
Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping.
Perform light housekeeping duties that clients cannot complete on their own.
Provide pleasant and supportive companionship.
Report unusual incidents.
Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
