Patient Care Assistant (PCA) - Inpatient Services
About The Position
Shriners Children's Chicago is hiring a part-time Patient Care Assistant for its Inpatient Unit. The PCA assists with patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, provides direct care, and performs assigned routine tasks. The position requires caring and appropriate interactions with patients and families. The PCA also assists with wound and skin care, keeps unit and work areas stocked, and provides delegated nursing care activities as appropriate. The schedule is 48 hours bi-weekly (0.6 FTE), from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, with every-other-weekend and holiday rotations. The pay range is $18.65–$27.98, with compensation determined by relevant experience and departmental equity.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA).
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from the American Heart Association.
- One year of pediatric experience.
Responsibilities
