About The Position

Northwest Arkansas Pediatric Clinic is seeking a full-time Patient Care Assistant (PCA), CNA, or RMA to support pediatric clinic operations. The PCA directs patients to exam rooms, obtains and charts vital signs and other information in the electronic health record, and assists nurses and physicians as directed. The role also performs rapid laboratory tests, including urinalysis, hemoglobin, guaiac, strep and flu swabs, rapid COVID swabs, and COVID PCR, as well as hearing and vision testing.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 5 p.m.; the end time may vary. The clinic provides care for children and their families at locations in Fayetteville and Pinnacle Hills. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Take patients' vital signs and chart information in the EHR.
• Direct patients to the appropriate examination or treatment room.
• Ensure medications are up to date.
• Prepare patients for examinations and other procedures.
• Assist physicians with procedures as directed.
• Perform rapid laboratory tests, including urinalysis, hemoglobin, guaiac, strep and flu swabs, rapid COVID swabs, and COVID PCR.
• Perform hearing and vision testing.
• Address Meaningful Use requirements as appropriately delegated to the check-in process.
• Review daily schedules to support productive clinic flow.
• Monitor charge tickets to ensure updates to insurance and patient demographics are reflected.
