Pat Care Asst II, Inpatient
About The Position
Shriners Children's Ohio is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for its Inpatient Unit. The position assists with patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, providing direct care and completing routine assigned tasks. The PCA is expected to interact with patients and families in a caring and appropriate manner. The role also supports wound and skin care, maintains stocked unit and work areas, and performs delegated nursing care activities as appropriate. Under the guidance or direction of a Child Life Therapist, the PCA helps plan and provide structured, age-appropriate activities, monitors children’s activities, and helps maintain a safe physical and psychosocial environment. This is a part-time evening-shift position working 32 hours per week. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) – Ohio STNA license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).

- One year of pediatric experience.
Responsibilities
