About The Position

Visiting Angels of Boerne is hiring Patient Care Assistants to provide non-medical, private-duty in-home living assistance to elderly and disabled clients in the Hill Country area. The role supports clients with daily living routines, personal care, meals, light housekeeping, transportation, companionship, and moral support. The employer offers continuing education opportunities in areas such as dementia and Alzheimer’s care. Full-time, part-time, PRN, and various shift lengths are offered.

Requirements

• Pass a background check.
• Have a valid driver's license or ID and auto insurance.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Have a desire to serve others.
• Have knowledge of emergency responses and first aid.
• Be able to perform light housekeeping and cooking, including attention to dietary restrictions.
• Adhere to health and safety standards.
• Be respectful and compassionate.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Have strong ethics.
• Have physical endurance.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene and grooming.
