About The Position

Visiting Angels’ Marble Falls office is seeking Patient Care Assistants to provide compassionate care to senior adults and others in need throughout the Highland Lakes area, including Burnet, Marble Falls, Lampasas, Buchanan Dam, and Llano. The role supports clients with a range of needs, including personal care, mobility assistance, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation. Caregivers may also provide companionship and help clients remain safe and supported at home. Advanced training opportunities are available in areas such as dementia care and Alzheimer’s care.

Requirements

Passion for serving others and a genuine caregiver mindset.
Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Help clients take prescribed medication.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility in and around the home, and accompany them to appointments or walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients with routine exercises.
Plan and prepare meals with clients’ assistance when they are able.
Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping.
Perform light housekeeping duties clients cannot complete on their own.
Provide pleasant and supportive companionship.
Report unusual incidents.
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
