About The Position

As a Patient Access Scheduling Specialty Coordinator (PASCI) at Moffitt Cancer Center, the employee is expected to adhere to all performance metrics and training requirements. The role requires working knowledge of scheduling and registration for a range of outpatient services, including Surgery, Blood and Bone Marrow, Integrated Clinical Services, Diagnostics, Labs, Behavioral Health, Virtual Health, Research, and Infusion. The coordinator may be assigned to any capacity based on business needs.

The position requires comfort with medical terminology, problem solving, and working amid competing priorities and demands. Team members collaborate to cross-cover Patient Access functions and develop a broad understanding of the position, with productivity, quality, and skills recognized.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to meet, communicate, and interact courteously and helpfully with people from varied backgrounds and other health care team members to complete job assignments.
• Ability to set up, organize, and maintain record systems.
• Customer service, multitasking, computer, typing, office automation equipment and software, and verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask while maintaining patience, composure, and customer service etiquette in stressful situations.
• Strong critical-thinking skills, including problem solving and root cause analysis, and the ability to provide timely solutions.
