About The Position
Responsible for providing the first impression of Arkansas Children’s. Performs basic scheduling and registration functions for outpatient clinics, including obtaining complete and accurate demographic and insurance information. The position is full time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Most new hires start between $17.20 and $21.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Arkansas Children’s is a tobacco-free workplace, and flu vaccines are required. This role is designated safety sensitive and cannot be filled by a candidate who is a current user of medical marijuana.

Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments and ensure referrals are obtained.
- Meet or exceed expected productivity and accuracy standards.
- Greet and engage patients, families, and visitors to provide a positive first impression.
- Complete registration and discharge activities, including copayment collection, MyChart activation, and insurance verification.
- Complete discharge scheduling and ensure follow-up appointments and tests are scheduled.
- Register patients in one or more centers in addition to the home center, as demonstrated by floating.
- Collaborate with clinical partners to optimize patient communication, clinic flow, and ongoing care.
- Engage in activities to enhance the patient experience, including encouraging completion of the patient satisfaction survey.
