About The Position

Glendive Medical Center is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Patient Access Representative to work at Gabert Clinic in Glendive, Montana. The representative is among the first people patients connect with when seeking care, helping them feel welcomed and supported while ensuring registration, scheduling, and insurance information are handled accurately. This role supports compassionate, community-focused care by building positive connections with patients, visitors, callers, and coworkers. This is a full-time position with five shifts per week, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Pay starts at $18.73 per hour.

Requirements

Knowledge of medical terminology.

Strong administrative and organizational skills.
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of office or clerical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Welcome patients and visitors with warmth, professionalism, and compassion.
Gather and verify patient information to ensure accurate registration.
Conduct accurate and thorough patient interviews.
Answer incoming calls, assist callers, and connect them with the appropriate department or team member.
Schedule appointments according to provider practices and preferences.
Contact patients when appointments need to be rescheduled or canceled.
Verify insurance coverage and collect payments at the point of service.
Take clear and accurate messages for staff as needed.
Communicate effectively with clinical staff regarding patient appointments.
Take initiative to gather additional information and help patients, callers, and visitors get the assistance they need.
Attend required meetings and in-services.
Perform other duties as assigned.
