About The Position

Conducts professional patient interviews to obtain demographic, financial, and biographical information. Understands insurance terminology, obtains information needed to appropriately bill payors, verifies patient insurance eligibility, confirms benefits eligibility, and gathers statistical information in compliance with federal and state regulations with minimal support from a supervisor. Completes payment transactions using proper negotiating techniques to professionally collect money owed by patients and guarantors, including referring them to appropriate financial resources such as payment plans and lines of credit. Responsible for delivering quality performance and service excellence. Strong computer skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment are required.
