About The Position

Northside Hospital is seeking a Patient Access Representative to support orderly patient registration. The role arranges for efficient and accurate collection of information for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, and collects and distributes patient, billing, and collection information. It also involves informing patients and families about hospital policies and procedures. Courtesy in interactions with patients, families, and others is important to maintaining sound community relations.

Requirements

• Six months of clerical or customer service experience; hospital or medical office experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication and strong customer service skills.
• Working knowledge of computers and ability to perform accurately and efficiently on a computer.
• Typing speed of 30 words per minute.
